Are the glasses Hi-Impact resistant?
Yes, the glasses are ANSI Z87.1, CE & AS/NZS compliant which means that they are to American, European, and Australian/New Zealand safety standards for industrial use and at the firing range. Hi-impact resistant is more of a marketing term used to describe ANSI compliant safety glasses. -
Are these the right qualification for using in a welding shop?
You can use them in a welding shop where safety glasses are required, but they are not rated to protect your eyes from someone welding (although they should be using screens) and can't be used for welding. That would require a completely different type of glasses altogether. -
Can I wear the glasses over my wire rimmed glasses?
They were not designed for this purpose however other customers report that if your glasses are quite small then they may be suitable. -
Can the glasses be used at an indoor gun range?
Our clear glasses are specifically designed for indoor use and are perfect for the gun range or low light environments. The tinted glasses are more for outdoor use. -
Could these be turned into prescription glasses?
Unfortunately no and this would not be recommended as it would not conform to ANSI standards. The reason all safety glasses are plastic is that they do not shatter. If your lenses were to shatter, this could do more damage than not wearing glasses at all. -
Does the clear/tint combo come with two sets of glasses?
Yes, this pack comes with 1 pair of clear glasses and 1 pair of tinted glasses for a total of 2 pairs of glasses. -
You would not replace these lenses with prescription lenses. The clear lenses will protect your prescription lenses from smashing in the event that a projectile was to hit the glasses.
-
Why do the glasses feel flimsy?
One of the advantages of our glasses is that the arms are thin. This stops the arms from creating a gap when used with earmuffs allowing sound to penetrate which is particularly important for sharp, loud noises such as at a gun range. Our glasses also don't have reinforcing on the top to make them... -
Will the safety glasses fit over my prescription eye glasses
The safety glasses have not been designed to go over prescription glasses however some of our customers with small frame glasses have used them successfully in the past. If you have small frame glasses and a smaller size head then this may work for you but we could not guarantee the results. -
Will these safety glasses suit a smaller head?
As they are "wrap-around" lenses, they flex to fit larger heads and should be suitable for smaller heads also. -
Would the glasses be ok for kids?
The glasses are no problems for older kids say from 8 to 10 years and older but ultimately it depends on the size of the child. If they are small for their age then they might be too big. For the Essential and Professional ranges, the glasses don't have a rigid frame for the very reason that they...
